Bruce has over 30 years’ experience in forestry, harvesting and extraction operations, and tree farm management.

He started with forestry in South Africa working for a transport contractor hauling timber. Subsequently, he established a contract harvesting and extraction operation for SAPPI as a contractor harvesting 8 to 10 thousand tons monthly.

Bruce moved to Indonesia where he was involved in the start-up of RAPP Riau (April Group) been involved in the planning and implementation of the transport operation delivering 10,000 tons daily from plantations to the mill with a lead distance of 200 km. Bruce was also involved in the start-up operations at KKPP (Kiani Kertas) Pulp and Paper where he implemented mechanical harvesting.

After the financial crises he moved to PNG working for CDC ( Commonwealth Development Corporation) in Popondetta where he was responsible for the workshops and transport, he was instrumental in introducing the skip bin system and mechanical infield collection system for both home estates and small growers with great success in raising production and reducing cost overall.

After five years in PNG he moved to Australia were he was Operational Forester for ITC (Integrated Tree Cropping) QLD plantations in Miriamvale managing 6000 ha of tree farms.

Bruce has been consulting, first CSIRO and then to David Boden and Associates in a support services in Sabah and Sarawak he was instrumental in implementing the cable yarding systems into SSB and reducing soil compaction.

Bruce has been working the last three years with Agri Bumi (Djarum Group) in Kalimantan as Project controller upgrading 46 km of haul road to the log pond and the construction of accesses road from the plantations to a newly built chip mill. Other projects where transport, heavy equipment and the construction of workshop.
