Michael Henson holds a BA from Imperial College and an MSc in Forestry from Oxford University in the United Kingdom in Forestry and its Relation to Land Use. He has over 20 years of international forestry experience in consultancy and line management roles. Michael has experience in large scale fibre production and processing and the development of new greenfield plantation projects in Australasia, Africa and South America. He has extensive experience in the management of both softwood and hardwood plantations, covering both short-rotation fibre crops or longer-rotation solid log crops, and is highly experienced in tropical forestry.
In addition to a detailed knowledge of propagation, species selection and optimisation, silvicultural management and plantation improvement, Michael also has expertise in the fields of financial modelling, fibre harvesting, fibre transport, timber utilisation, commercial negotiations and biomass production and utilisation.
