Leo Maso has over 15 years’ experience in lands and community affairs, primarily, working in the oil and gas industry. He has a wide range of experience in assisting project developments in gaining land access and dealing with customary land owners. This experience includes the management of landowner expectations, land acquisition and agreement negotiation, legislation compliance, government liaison, and compensation claim management. In addition, Leo has been heavily involved in implementing and designing community development programs in health and education and community benefit realisation.
Prior to working in lands and community affairs Leo worked as an Area Manager, attached to local area government, in Morobe and Milne Bay responsible for implementing and managing government programs. Leos other skills include supervision, team management, and staff training and development.
